Mission and Vision
In grateful response to God’s gifts and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of First Lutheran Church is to grow in faith through worship and study, to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our congregation, and to recognize Christ’s love and to take it wherever it is needed in our community and the world.
Vision:
To equip disciples so that they have a depth of knowledge concerning Scripture, doctrine, Church history, and liturgical practice. To be one family who relies on the love and forgiveness of God and who extends those same things to each other. To be a lighthouse to the community and a stronghold of historic Christian orthodoxy, human care, and community involvement.
Core Values:
Therefore, our emphases and core values are:
- Faith – Grow in Faith and unity with God,
- Love – Love God, each other and ourselves, and
- Community – Live out our Faith and Love by sharing the Good News of Jesus, our Savior, with our community through word and deed.
