Rev. Clifton Loman became pastor of FLC in March, 2015.  Along with being the pastor here in Tahlequah, Rev. Loman became the first chaplain with the Tahlequah Fire Department in September of 2023.  Then, in March 2024, he also became vacancy pastor at First Lutheran Church in Muskogee.

He previously served as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora, MO.  He has also served as a hospice chaplain and mental health case worker with the state of Oklahoma.

Pastor Loman has a Bachelor degree in Human Services Counseling and is a graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree.

He was active in theatre in high school and college, played football in high school and still is interested in both.  When it comes to football he is an oSu Cowboy fan (Go Pokes!).  But, most of the congregation has forgiven him for that.

Pastor Loman is a native Oklahoman, is married to his very patient wife, Lora, and has two awesome little boys.
